Adam Kaplan, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and tailors his treatment to the specific needs of the client. Dr. Kaplan has an extensive history of treating children, adolescents, adults and families. Particular areas of expertise include individual therapy for those suffering with anxiety and/or depression, couples therapy, family therapy, and treatment for parents who are in need of additional support and strategies. In addition, he has significant experience running groups focused on issues for adolescents, college students, and parents.

Dr. Kaplan also currently serves as a Licensed Psychologist at Rockland Children’s Psychiatric Center, where he works with adolescents and their parents/families. He received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Connecticut and completed a pre-doctoral internship at the Florida Mental Health Institute. Further, Dr. Kaplan completed a 2-year Post-Doctoral placement at Columbia University’s Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department, where he led national research projects aimed at improving the mental health of adolescents. He has presented his work at numerous national conferences, including those held by the American Psychological Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
