Beth Watson, Ph.D, is a licensed clinical psychologist, who specializes in child and adolescent treatment and has been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and has experience in parent coaching. Dr. Watson received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. Dr. Watson is currently a Clinical Supervisor for the Department of Clinical and Counseling Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University, where she trains graduate students in DBT. During graduate school, she completed her internship at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), where Dr. Watson treated children of all ages and was trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). Dr. Watson did her postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center.  Dr. Watson is intensively trained in DBT, and has also been trained in CBT and IPT. She has provided clinical services in the past in a number of settings, including school-based treatment, hospitals and private practice. Dr. Watson's practice focuses on children, adolescents, and adults struggling with anxiety or depression; she also has experience working with clients struggling with eating disorders.
